5TH ANNUAL CAREERS IN FILM SUMMIT (2019)

Though the All-Day Session is at capacity, there are tickets available for the afternoon session. Also, there will be a STAND-BY line on Saturday morning. The STAND-BY line will form at the doors nearest La Peer Drive.  Stand-by numbers will be given out by theater staff beginning at approximately 8:30 am. The number of STAND-BY tickets available (if any) will be determined shortly before show time.

Come learn about careers in the motion picture industry from working Academy members and film professionals. Discover the skills, education and hard work needed to achieve your dreams.

In a series of panels, Academy members and filmmakers will discuss their professions, share advice and address the skills that a career in film requires. Their areas of expertise span songwriting and composing, sound, editing, visual effects, costume design, production design, animation and may other areas. Sessions will also incorporate film clips and Q&As with students.

The summit is free and open to high school and college students. However, tickets are required.

Lunch is provided for those who attend the morning sessions. The second session begins at 1:30 p.m. For those unable to attend, the event will be live streamed on Oscars.org.

Free parking at 8920 Wilshire Blvd. (corner of Wilshire and La Peer (garage entrance on La Peer Dr.) and 9025 Wilshire Blvd. (garage entrance on Wetherly Dr.)
